I had an opportunity recently to photograph Victoria’s Fairmount Empress’ Christmas decor, from the inside out. From the Christmas tree in the centre of the world-famous Tea Room lobby, to the hotel’s holiday lit exterior, JackFlash managed to capture the season in all of its sparkling glory. From the awe inspiring Whoville Village, a display that showcases a gigantic mini village entirely made of gingerbread, icing and chocolate, (baked and constructed over 7 days by the hotel’s chefs) to the hotel lobby’s main show piece, a chandelier affectionately named The Crown Jewel. With 250,000 hand-cut crystal beads, (which took a team of experts two weeks to install) this tastefully designed chandelier (custom-designed by Lasvit, a Czech lighting company) puts the “B” in BLING!
Take a peak at a few more of the hotel’s Christmassy shots here.
With that, CrackerJackFlash wishes you and yours a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and Happy New Year!
