Black Lives Matter

The recent death of George Floyd at the hands of the  Minneapolis Police has spurred outrage both down south in the US, and around the globe. We’ve all had enough! This is 2020, and the violence and all forms of racial prejudice need to end for all minorities, including here in Canada.

With that in mind, on a recent hike along the coast of the Pacific, I realized the root of discrimination is simply fear-based. Fear of anything different than what we are accustomed to, whether it’s the colour of our skin, sexual preferences, religions…etc. And if we could understand and tackle our fears, I believe we would find our true freedom.

So I packed that insight into a video of a bald eagle I captured on my phone that day with the hope of inspiring others to dig deeper than we ever have, and to face our fears as a collective so that we could live in a world with more acceptance and love. A world where every living being on this planet could finally feel FREE to be who and what we were born to be.
